Vanilla peppermint stracciatella ice cream. Stracciatella also refers to a type of Italian “egg drop” soup. It’s quite similar, in a way: you pour a thin stream of melted chocolate (in this case, 72% bittersweet) into the ice cream in the last moments of churning, and it turns into wafer-thin chips automatically. It makes mint-chip a lot more interesting.
I tried vanilla-mint because I love that first taste of Tic Tacs, but it’s really not the same. Tic Tac ice cream, however, would be interesting… or a flavor of Magic Shell that tasted like the outside of Tic Tacs, that would be something.
